Fresh Sawn Oak Is a highly dense durable material suitable for both interior and exterior joinery projects.

Common uses: Porch Canopy structures, Pergolas and garden structures, beams and many other uses.

Fresh Sawn Oak is as described, freshly cut. This means that the timber still has a high moisture content. Fresh Sawn Oak may have surface splits and checks, these will also occur in time during the natural drying process. It is a Light yellow/brown colour and will go silver in time if exposed to UV light like all timber.

It will bleed tannins as it is exposed to weathering/water. This is a natural extract that will in time stop occurring. It can cause stains on masonry and other material and is worth considering when designing your project.
