Five Quick and Easy Garden Makeovers ready for Spring 11 March 2021

Spring is the perfect time for some nice garden parties, evening relaxation and BBQs when the sun is shining. Whether your garden is landscaped or in need of a little TLC there are some great ways to give your garden a spring makeover. Here are our favourite five that will cost very little, take less than an afternoon to do and have things looking welcoming in no time.

Bring the inside out
Why not transform your patio or decking into an extra living area that guests and family won’t want to leave. Get some comfy cushions and some throws for your garden furniture and maybe also a nice colourful rug. You might also want some string lighting, a coffee table and maybe some potted plants for you all to enjoy.

Makeover your furniture
Rather than replacing your furniture that has been neglected or left untreated for some time, a simple restore, refresh or paint job can transform your seats or garden table with amazing results. Sand the wood down, wipe down and then coat with a primer and your chosen exterior paint. Choose some colourful shades to create a statement or soft pastels for all year round colour.

Upgrade your fencing
Give your old fencing a new fresh look with a range of exterior paints. Choose natural shades or muted colours to complement flower beds or why not try a bold look with bright colour and add some drama to your garden. You can also add some trellis to make your fence look more ornate and stylish. Or try hanging old mirrors on your fence to bounce some light around your garden and give the illusion of more space.

Get colourful with some planting
Plant some bright perennials into hanging baskets, pots and containers for a quick splash of colour to your patio, balcony or terrace. Get some more mulch, pebbles or bark around your flower beds for a quick refresh to make your arrangements pop.

Install some ambient lighting
Whether you choose some string lights to drape over some tree branches, spike lights to nestle in your flower beds or fancy installing some decking/garden lighting is a quick way to add some ambience to your garden space.
