ThermoWood® is produced by heat treating spruce and pine to temperatures in excess of 200 degrees centigrade. This process creates chemical and structural changes in the timber to create a highly durable, stable timber. The heat treatment turns the material a warm brown colour and modifies the timber to give a service life of up to 30 years untreated.
